Fattis & Monis

INGREDIENTS

  • 300g Fatti’s & Moni’s Spaghetti
  • Sauce:
    • 2 x 410g cans All Gold Chopped Tomatoes
    • 5ml garlic, chopped
    • 1 beef stock cube in 500ml boiling water
    • 50ml sugar
  • Meatballs:
    • 1kg lean beef mince
    • 2 slices bread, crumbed
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 5ml garlic, chopped
    • 30ml All Gold Tomato Sauce
    • 10ml All Gold Mustard Sauce
    • 5ml dried mixed herbs
    • Salt and pepper, to taste

METHOD

  1. Sauce: Add ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. Meatballs: Mix all ingredients until completely combined. Using a 15ml measuring spoon, roll balls of the mince meat and place on a tin foil lined roasting tray.
  3. Bake the meatballs in a preheated oven at 170°C for 15-20 minutes until meatballs are cooked through and have browned slightly.
  4. Place meatballs into the sauce and allow to simmer until pasta is cooked.
  5. Cook the Fatti’s & Moni’s Spaghetti according to pack instructions.
  6. Drain pasta and toss together with the meatballs and sauce.

VARIATIONS

Replace the beef mince with lamb or chicken mince.
Add 3ml cayenne pepper for a spicy sauce.
